CricON ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the CricON app ("App") and related services, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password. If you sign in via Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from those providers.

Profile Information: Optionally, you may provide a profile photo, date of birth, location, and cricket role (batsman, bowler, etc.).

Match & Game Data: We collect scores, overs, player statistics, team information, and any commentary you enter when scoring or streaming matches.

Device & Technical Data: We collect your device type, operating system version, app version, IP address, and unique device identifiers to provide and improve the App.

Camera & Microphone: If you use the live streaming feature, the App accesses your device camera and microphone. This content is transmitted to viewers in real time and is not stored by us unless you explicitly save a recording.

Notifications: If you enable push notifications, we store a device token to deliver them.

Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the App — such as features used, screens viewed, and session duration — to improve our services.

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide and operate the App, including processing match data, generating statistics, and enabling live streaming.

To manage your account and authenticate your identity.

To send you service-related communications, such as match updates, account security alerts, and important policy notices.

To personalise your experience, such as showing relevant match suggestions or player comparisons.

To analyse usage patterns and improve the App's features, performance, and stability.

To comply with our legal obligations and enforce these Terms and our Code of Conduct.

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or data brokers.

Service Providers: We share data with trusted third-party providers who assist us in operating the App — such as cloud hosting (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud), analytics, and push notification services. These providers are contractually bound to use your data only to perform services on our behalf.

Public Match Data: Match scores, player stats, and commentary that you mark as "public" may be visible to other users within the App.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights and safety of CricON or its users.

Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the acquiring entity, subject to the same privacy protections.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide the Services.

If you delete your account, we will delete or irreversibly anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes (e.g. fraud prevention, financial records).

Anonymised, aggregated data may be retained indefinitely for analytical purposes.

6. Your Rights & Choices

Access & Correction: You can view and update your personal information at any time in the App's account settings.

Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and associated data by going to Settings → Delete Account, or by contacting us at [email protected].

Data Portability: You may request a copy of your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format by emailing [email protected].

Marketing Communications: You can opt out of promotional emails at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any marketing email or by updating your notification preferences in the App.

Push Notifications: You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings.

7. Children's Privacy

CricON is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at [email protected]. We will promptly delete the information upon verification.

8. International Data Transfers

CricON operates globally. Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including countries that may have different data protection laws.

Where required, we use appropriate safeguards — such as Standard Contractual Clauses — to protect your data when it is transferred internationally.

9. Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest, and access controls limiting who can access your data.

Despite our best efforts, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.

10. Third-Party Links & Services

The App may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services (e.g. Google Sign-In). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the App or by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the App after the updated policy takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
